As part of the Outagamie County Sheriff's Office the Telecommunicator is involved in all aspects of public safety in Outagamie County. This is a full-time position that works a 49-day schedule rotation. 5 on 3 off, 5 on 3 off, 5 on 3 off, 5 on 4 off, 4 on 4 off, 4 on 4 off in perpetuity. Weekends and holidays are required. Shifts are 10 hours long. They are: 04:00-14:00, 08:00-18:00, 13:00-23:00, 18:00-04:00, 22:00-08:00. Shifts are picked once a year. Every October Telecommunicators submit their preferred shift(s) and management assigns the shifts based on seniority. After the shift is assigned the Telecommunicator works their assigned shift for the following calendar year from January 1st until December 31st. Outagamie County cannot guarantee a particular shift for any Telecommunicator or applicant.
