Controls Engineer

We are a family-oriented Midwest based company in Wisconsin, Minnesota and upper Michigan. As a result of our tremendous growth, we have a need for a Controls Engineer to design electrical control systems, that are used to monitor and control fluid process systems in a variety of markets.

What You Get To Do

Design and develop new fluid process control systems using AutoCAD design software.

Program, install and test PLC and HMI systems.

Maintain and optimize existing customer control systems.

Work collaboratively with Account Managers, Process Engineers and other internal team members.

Act as a liaison between customers, suppliers and contractors.

Manage projects within cost and time constraints.

Understand and ensure compliance with NEC regulations and UL quality standards.

Provide advice and support to internal co-workers and customers.

Assist in the development of quotes and proposals.


What We Need From You

Bachelors or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college or university preferred.

Minimum 4-5 years related experience and/or training.

Knowledge of fluid process equipment is a plus.

Strong Knowledge of PLC and HMI systems, especially with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500, 5000, and Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View ME

Proficient in AutoCAD - Electrical.  

Familiar with NEC regulations and UL quality standards.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

Thorough understanding of process control.

Skilled troubleshooter and problem-solver.

Positive, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and professional image.

Customer-service focused individual that can successfully build and maintain quality relationships.

Ability to handle a varied and fast-paced workload to meet customer requirements for projects.
