The Member Relations Manager plays a critical role in growing and strengthening the Fox Cities Chamber. This person will develop and implement membership strategies to attract, retain, and engage businesses of all sizes. This role also manages our PULSE Young Professionals program, connecting young professionals to networking, professional development, and community engagement opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES
Membership
- Lead membership sales initiatives by identifying businesses in key industry sectors for Chamber membership and communicating the benefits of the Chamber.
- Respond to member inquiries and perform active follow-up to ensure member satisfaction and increased engagement.
- Meet or exceed membership sales goals.
- Manage the Chamber’s ambassador program, supporting them in their efforts to welcome new members and generate leads as they represent the Chamber in the community.
- Utilize professional and effective communication skills to provide exceptional service to Chamber members.
- Communicate and work with members on any outstanding dues.
PULSE Young Professionals
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow PULSE’s reach, impact and membership.
- Plan, execute, and understand the goals of PULSE programs and events, taking them from concept to “day of” details, including budgeting, logistics, and sponsorships.
- Serve as the Chamber’s primary ambassador for our young professionals.
- Oversee and facilitate the PULSE Advisory Committee
- Align PULSE initiatives with the Chamber’s broader workforce and talent retention strategies.
- Develop partnerships with employers to encourage participation and investment in PULSE, including our Champions of Young Professionals.
Overall
- Collaborate with the Chamber’s marketing team to ensure effective promotion and outreach, for both members and PULSE.
- Provide event support for other programs organized by team members.
- Positively represent the Fox Cities Chamber in the community.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in business management, marketing, public relations, business communications, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education / experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities.
- Exceptional relationship-building, networking, and communication skills.
- Organizational skills, including work prioritization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- The ability to work well in a team environment and to motivate volunteers.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Availability for occasional early morning and evening events, as well as Octoberfest weekend.
- Ability to work in a moderately high-stress environment, with physical stamina to handle event setup (lifting up to 40 pounds as needed).
- Knowledge of the Fox Cities business community is a plus.
- Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license.
