Service Engineer’s are responsible for providing comprehensive sales support and technical expertise related to Crane products and services. Working closely with Account Managers and customers, you will ensure that both receive the necessary technical guidance and support to effectively meet their needs. The Service Engineer will involve troubleshooting, offering technical advice, and assisting in the development of solutions that align with customer requirements. A key part of this role is collaborating with the sales team to drive customer satisfaction and contribute to the growth of Crane product sales and services.

What You Get To Do

Develop and maintain product and application knowledge necessary to service internal and external customers within assigned market.
Provide support to Crane customers and team members using technical expertise.
Manage all assigned internal and external service projects regarding scope, schedule, and budget.
Review inspection reports findings and utilize technical knowledge to identify causes of failure.
Identify alternate repair options if necessary and propose process or material improvements to eliminate future failures.
Collaborate with third-party contractors when needed to ensure project success.
Develop a detailed project plan and track progress throughout.
Request quotations from vendors, both represented and not.
Provide accurate, high-quality quotations, and verify contractual obligations.
Monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors' products, prices and sales.
Demonstrate strategy in margin growth through obtaining discounts and inventory decision-making.
May perform other duties as assigned.
What We Need From You
Associates degree in Engineering or related field preferred
Must be mechanically adept
Ability to interact professionally via all means of communication and with all audiences
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong customer service, time management and forward thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
