'25-'26 Innovate for Tomorrow: Education & Business Partnership Series 3

Monday, May 11, 2026 (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

What if stronger school-community partnerships didn’t start with programs for students, but with better-informed, more engaged adults?
Join us for the third session of the Emerging Talent Alliance’s Innovate for Tomorrow series, focused on how school districts are building deeper community connections through cohort-based engagement experiences for local stakeholders.
Hear from Mike Slowinski (Kaukauna Area School District) and Heidi Schmidt (Little Chute Area School District) as they share how initiatives like Ghost Academy and LCASD ConnectED are helping community members and business leaders better understand their local school systems and, in turn, become stronger partners and advocates.
Rather than one-off events or transactional partnerships, these programs take a longer-term approach, creating space for learning, relationship-building, and shared ownership of student success.
You’ll learn:
  • Why these programs were created and the gaps they were designed to address
  • How districts are engaging business and community leaders in meaningful ways
  • What participants and local employers are saying as a result
  • Early outcomes and how these efforts are strengthening trust and collaboration
This session is ideal for principals, superintendents, and business partners who want to build more informed, invested communities around their schools.
The program includes a 1-hour presentation followed by 30 minutes of Q&A and networking.
