Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) CE Seminar provided by Rogers Behavioral Health
Tuesday, September 9, 2025
Description
Did you know that more people die of opioid overdoses in Wisconsin each year than in car crashes? This stark statistic comes from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Opioid use disorder continues to pose significant health, social, and economic challenges to our state.
Medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) is the gold standard treatment for opioid use disorder. Yet only a fraction of Americans who need this treatment receive it. Many myths and inaccuracies among patients and providers surrounding this approach overshadow the evidence of MOUD’s benefits.
Masters-level clinicians and community advocates: Join us for a day-long seminar that focuses on reducing barriers to treating opioid use disorder. Presenters Matt Boyer, MD, FASAM, and Page Feller, MA, NCSE, ICS, LPC, MAC, CSAC, will cover the essential features of low-threshold medication for opioid use disorder treatment and how motivational interviewing strategies can complement MOUD to improve treatment adherence and reduce relapse. 5.0 continuing education credits are available for healthcare professionals.
