Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Manager to help lead our team. In this role, you’ll be supporting the Store Manager in delivering top-notch food service, ensuring smooth daily operations, and creating a welcoming environment for both staff and guests. The ideal candidate is someone who possesses strong leadership skills and has a genuine love for hospitality and food management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your management expertise while making a real impact on our guests’ experience.

Wage: $17.00/hr plus tips
Optional 401K Match at 90 days

Flexible schedule: We are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturdays. Some Saturdays are required (with time off during the week if working a Saturday). More hours required a couple of weeks around the holidays, but off the day of all major holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including shift management, ensuring everything runs seamlessly from opening to closing.
  • Supervise staff training and development to maintain high standards of customer service and food quality.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems.
  • Support food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members to build a strong, motivated staff.

Skills

  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience (management or supervisory preferred, but not necessary.)
  • Knowledge of food preparation and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and perform inventory control effectively.
  • Solid understanding of customer service excellence.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs.
