Under general direction of the Medical Examiner (ME) or Chief Deputy Medical Examiner (CDME), collaboratively investigates deaths to assist with determination of the cause and manner of death, determine jurisdiction, and determine disposition of the body, in accordance with applicable state laws governing the office of the Medical Examiner. Performs related duties as required.
This is a casual/part-time position. With no set schedule of work hours.
This position will be assigned to on-call duty. May be required to take consecutive shifts to allow for time off duty of the ME or CDME.
Must be able to respond as soon as possible to a death scene or be able to take verbal reports from reporting agencies.
