Maintenance Technician- 3rd Shift

Job: Maintenance Technician

Schedule: 6pm-6am; 4x10hr shifts, some weekends and overtime

Pay: $25-$35/hour


Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join their team in Bear Creek, Wisconsin


Key Responsibilities

  • Inspections: Prepare equipment at the start of each shift, ensuring everything is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on conveyors, elevators, labeling, filling, pressure systems, and lubrication lines to prevent unplanned downtime.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair machinery malfunctions—including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems—quickly and safely.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor and verify proper operation of electrical panels, PLCs, sensors, and automation systems.
  • Machine Adjustments: Assist production staff with equipment fine-tuning and changeovers to ensure product consistency and efficiency.
  • Safety Procedures: Implement and adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all plant safety protocols.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Maintenance Superintendent and production teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.


Maintenance Technician Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • 1–3 years of maintenance experience, ideally in a food or beverage manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred

Maintenance Technician Technical Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with production machinery
  • Hands-on knowledge of PLC programming, electrical wiring, and automation controls
  • Familiarity with low-voltage systems and safety protocols
  • Welding, carpentry, or plumbing experience is a plus

Soft Skills

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities
  • Self-motivated with a safety- and quality-first mindset

Schedule & Requirements

  • Night Shift position
  • Weekend availability and overtime as needed
  • Must be able to commute to or relocate to Bear Creek, WI
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
