Position Responsibilities (willing to training):
- Operates plate rolling machines (3 and 4 roll) to form metal plates, sheets, or bars into arcs, cylinders, or cones, using blueprints and templates.
- Loads the sheets, plates, bars, etc. into rolls by hand or with overhead crane.
- Adjusts the rolling machines as needed for material thickness and required diameters.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to work alone.
- Other sheet metal shop duties as assigned by shop foremen.
Summary of Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- No experience is necessary, but familiarity in a metal fabrication environment is a plus.
- Understanding of different material properties and potential machine limitations.
- Variety of positions available:
- 1st shift: Monday – Thursday 5:00am until 3:30pm
- 2nd shift: Monday – Thursday 3:30pm until 1:30am
