Senior Financial Analyst

Crane Engineering is a family-oriented Midwest and East coast based company; with locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. As a result of our growth, we have a need for a Senior Financial Analyst.


As Senior Financial Analyst you will support the Management Team by providing data-driven insights for informed decision-making on both short- and long-term company strategies. This role works closely with the Director of Finance, Controllers, and operational leadership to develop financial models, perform detailed analyses, and create monthly and quarterly reports. The analyst will assist in budgeting, forecasting, and compliance reporting while driving financial analysis for special projects. What You’ll Do

Coordinate the annual budget process, including the development and communication of strategy.

Prepare both monthly and quarterly financial forecast (EBITDA and cash flow) along with assessing the risks and opportunities in those forecasts.

Develop financial models and conduct analyses to support strategic initiatives and provide data-driven recommendations.

Help assist in data lake management & visualization.

Build, consolidate and analyze the company’s financial results and forecasts for revenue, overhead, headcount, capital expenditures, working capital, and cash flow.

Create “trade-off/what if” scenario models to provide value-added management decision support.

Assemble profitability and financial risk analyses with both a near-term and long-term focus.

Help prepare monthly and quarterly business metrics and financial reporting packages to support the leadership teams.

Engage with cross-functional leaders including sales, operations, fleet management, procurement and finance.

Support the overall Accounting & Finance team on all change initiatives and special projects related to systems and processes to improve efficiency.

May perform other duties as assigned.


 

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance degree required.

CPA or MBA a definite plus.

Minimum of 3+ years’ work experience in an accounting/financial analysis environment.

Superior analytical skills, combined with impeccable business acumen and ability to communicate and influence across the organization.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate financial concepts and analysis results to all levels of management.

Ability to create complex and dynamic financial models in Excel and to manage large and complex data sets.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a drive to deliver outstanding results and a strong attention to detail.

Passion for change and continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.

Knack for gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity.

Superior Excel, PowerPoint skills required.
