Alliance Construction & Design and The Mission Church will celebrate the groundbreaking of the church’s new location at 1400 N Meade Street, next door to Urban Modern Kitchen, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
The gathering will include a groundbreaking ceremony, worship, and remarks from church leadership about why a downtown location matters to The Mission’s work in the local community.
“The mission of The Mission is to reach and teach. To reach those who are far from God and teach them how to follow Jesus,” said Pastor Shawn W. “The Mission is a safe place to explore your faith, no matter where you’re at on your spiritual journey. The reason we want to be downtown is because it keeps us close and connected to the community that God has called us to reach. We’re really excited about this next chapter and being able to share this space with the community.”
