Downtown Appleton is putting a frosty spin on state pride as Avenue of Ice returns with a brand-new theme: Things We Love About Wisconsin. Beginning Friday, February 20 at noon, the beloved annual event will feature 26 handcrafted ice sculptures placed throughout Downtown, each one highlighting iconic Wisconsin favorites.
From a classic dairy cow and a larger-than-life Old Fashioned to nods to Packers pride, hunting traditions, beer, and more, this year’s sculptures celebrate the sights, flavors, and traditions that make Wisconsin feel like home. Each piece is sponsored by local businesses and community partners and expertly carved by Krystal Kleer Ice Sculptures, LLC. Sculptures will remain on display as long as weather permits.
Avenue of Ice Carvings offers the perfect winter outing for families, friends, and visitors alike. Stroll through Downtown Appleton to discover all 26 sculptures while exploring the shops, restaurants, and businesses along the way. Warm up with a hot drink, browse cozy winter apparel, or enjoy a meal at one of Downtown’s many local favorites as you make your way through the self-guided ice tour.
