BIG SING 2026 Brings Powerful Choral Celebration to Appleton

The BIG SING 2026 will take center stage on Saturday, April 25, at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton, bringing together as one voice more than 260 male singers from across the Midwest for an inspiring evening of music and community.

Hosted by the Appleton MacDowell Male Chorus, this annual choral tradition dates back to 1949 and celebrates fellowship, musical excellence, and the shared joy of singing. This year’s event, being presented for the first time in the Fox Cities, will feature 10 participating choruses and coincides with celebrations of America’s 250th anniversary, adding a patriotic dimension to the program.

The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. in Thrivent Hall and showcases both massed choral performances and individual artistry in one of northeastern Wisconsin’s premier venues.

Tickets are available through the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center ticket office (920-730-3760) or online. Additional event details, including participating choruses, can be found at www.macdowellchorus.com.

The Appleton MacDowell Male Chorus is an ensemble with deep roots in the Fox Valley musical community. Currently 50 men strong, the chorus was founded in 1934 and has a long history of bringing people together through song, contributing to local events, educational programs, and charitable causes. Their role as host continues this tradition, inviting both seasoned choral singers and enthusiastic members of the public to take part in a memorable evening of music.
