City of Neenah Celebrates Fundraising Success for Kimberly Point Lighthouse and Announces Perpetual Care Fund

The City of Neenah is proud to announce it has officially reached its $280,000 fundraising goal for the restoration and preservation of the historic Kimberly Point Lighthouse with over 140 “Beacon Keepers” donating to ensure the legacy endures for future generations. This achievement reflects the strong community support and dedication to protecting one of Neenah’s most beloved landmarks.

Adding to the celebration, an anonymous donor has generously stepped forward to establish a perpetual care fund for the lighthouse. This fund will provide long-term financial support for ongoing maintenance and preservation, ensuring the lighthouse remains a cherished feature of Neenah’s waterfront for many years to come.

“This is a great moment for our community,” said Mayor Lang. “Reaching our fundraising goal and securing a perpetual care fund ensures that the Kimberly Point Lighthouse will continue to shine as a symbol of Neenah’s history, pride, and commitment to preservation.”

Although the fundraising goal has been met, donations will continue to be accepted through May 1, 2026. Donors may choose to designate their contribution to either the building fund, supporting restoration and capital improvements, or the perpetual care fund, dedicated to long-term upkeep. All donations received by May 1, 2026, will be recognized on the Kimberly Point Lighthouse donor board.

“The community’s enthusiasm and support have truly been inspiring,” stated Parks & Recreation Director Michael Kading. “The stories of the impact Kimberly Point Park and the lighthouse have had on the community, families, and individuals are so encouraging.”
