Social media is one of the most powerful tools small businesses can use to grow their brand...and now, two local experts are teaming up to help entrepreneurs harness that power. The upcoming Fox Cities Chamber Fox Talks seminar, Social Media for Small Business, will feature Alayna Hansel of We Rose Marketing and Ashley Johannes of Ashley Kalbus Photography, offering practical strategies and insights to help small business owners confidently show up online and connect with their ideal audience.
The seminar will be held on Wednesday, August 13, from 8 - 9:30 a.m. at Community First Credit Union, 1575 Dresang Way in Neenah.
Hansel’s presentation, “Social Media Marketing Strategy for Businesses,” will focus on how to define your businesses social media marketing strategy, how to curate informative and engaging content, how to grow your business using social media marketing, and how to understand analytics and measure results.
Hansel is the founder of We Rose Marketing, a creative agency she launched in 2020 to help businesses grow through strategy-driven marketing. She is an active member of local business networking groups and serves as a DECA Advisor at Appleton North High School, where she mentors aspiring business leaders. When she’s not working, you’ll find her in the garden or spending time with her two fur babies, Oakley (her dog) and Ellie (her cat).
Johannes’ presentation “Utilizing Instagram for your Small Business,” will cover the basics of Instagram, as well as strategies to reach your ideal clients. She’ll discuss optimizing profiles, hashtags, posting strategies, and reels. Her goal is to help other small businesses feel comfortable with Instagram, and show them how to use the platform effectively.
Johannes is a professional photographer and creative entrepreneur with over 15 years in the visual arts industry. With a background as a professional videographer and production crew manager in the sports world, Ashley brings a unique blend of creativity, strategy, and real-world experience to the table. She now runs a thriving full-time photography business from a small town in Wisconsin.
