Fox Cities Performing Arts Center Announces 2026-27 Amcor Education Series

Fox Cities Performing Arts Center Announces 2026-27 Amcor Education Series

Season features world-class productions for students from PreK through Grade 12

Following a special event celebrating our region’s educators, the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is proud to reveal the 2026-27 Amcor Education Series. This announcement comes on the heels of a historic season in which the Center officially welcomed its 500,000th student attendee to the Amcor Education Series since opening its doors in 2002, marking a monumental achievement in Northeast Wisconsin’s commitment to arts-integrated learning.

The Amcor Education Series is designed specifically for students in grades PreK through 12 attending from public and private schools, state-registered homeschools and state-licensed family or group childcare centers. The series serves as an extension of the classroom, transforming the theater into a dynamic learning space where literature, history, and science leap off the page and onto the stage. By connecting curriculum to live performance, the Center provides students with a multisensory experience that fosters empathy, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

“Our mission is to ensure that the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center serves as an accessible, vibrant extension of every local classroom," said Amy Gosz, Chief Programming Officer for the Center. "This new season of the Amcor Education Series continues that commitment, leaning into the power of shared experiences to better understand how we relate to one another.”

The 2026-27 Season features a diverse slate of world-class productions designed to engage students from PreK-12, including:

  • Literary Legends: Bringing influential classics within reach with a Literature to Life stage presentation of The Great Gatsby and the adored adventure tale Wind in the Willows.
  • STEAM & Curiosity: Exploring the intersection of science and illusion in Bill Blagg - The Science of Magic and the empowering Rosie Revere, Ada Twist, and Iggy Peck: The Questioneers.
  • Cultural Discovery: Celebrating heritage and storytelling with Sugar Skull! A Día de Muertos Musical Adventure and Dreamcatcher: The Magical Adventures and Wonder Tales of Native America.
  • Early Childhood Favorites: Engaging younger learners with high-energy productions like TheaterWorksUSA production of Pete the Cat and the underwater puppetry of The Pout-Pout Fish and Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia’s Ocean Blue.

Beyond the performances, the Center continues to offer additional educational opportunities throughout the season, including interactive workshops, Education Outlet events, and the Make a Day of It partnership with Appleton Public Library, the Building for Kids, and the History Museum at the Castle. These hands-on sessions allow students and educators to work directly with professional artists and visionaries, deepening their understanding of the intersection between their lesson plans and the live performing arts.

“The Amcor Education Series provides my students with access to high quality arts experiences that would otherwise be financially out of reach,” says Christine Luke, English Learner educator at Appleton West High School. “Many of my students are newcomers to the United States, and these performances expose them to language, culture and storytelling in a powerful, engaging way. It also helps build background knowledge and vocabulary that supports their academic growth. I truly value the opportunity to give my students experiences beyond the classroom.”
