The Fox Valley Humane Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Kruse as its new Executive Director. A Fox Cities native with nearly four decades of leadership experience in hospitality and operations, Kruse brings a dynamic blend of service excellence, strategic management, and a lifelong love of animals to the organization.
Kruse’s professional journey began humbly as a teenage caddie at North Shore Golf Club in 1987. Over the years, he built a distinguished career in private club management, culminating in a successful eight-year tenure as General Manager and COO of Ozaukee Country Club in Mequon, WI. In 2020, he returned to his roots at North Shore Golf Club, where he served as General Manager, guiding the club through a period of growth and operational excellence.
A farm kid at heart, Kruse and his wife, Maureen, live west of Appleton on a quiet country property they share with a menagerie of animals. Now recent empty nesters with two college-aged children, the couple saw this moment as an opportunity to reimagine their next chapter. For Kruse, that means turning his passion for service and his love for animals into meaningful leadership at FVHA.
“My entire career has been built on fostering relationships, leading strong teams, and delivering exceptional service,” said Kruse. “As I step into this new role, I look forward to working alongside the dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters of FVHA to advance our mission of compassion, care, and advocacy for animals in our community.”
Throughout his career, Kruse has been recognized for cultivating service-focused cultures, leading collaborative teams, and building trust with boards and stakeholders. His deep roots in the Fox Cities and his wide-ranging professional network position him well to strengthen partnerships and expand the reach of FVHA’s impact.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jonathan Kruse as our new Executive Director,” said Kathi Seifert, Board of Directors for FVHA. “His leadership experience, community connections, and heartfelt commitment to both people and animals make him the ideal person to lead FVHA into its next chapter.”
Please join us in welcoming Jonathan Kruse to the Fox Cities Humane Association. Together, we look forward to continuing our work to provide shelter, care, and advocacy for animals in need throughout our region.
