After 20 years of bringing the community together through live music and lunchtime entertainment, Future Neenah is announcing an exciting evolution of its beloved Out to Lunch concert series.
“For two decades, Out to Lunch has created a space where people could pause, connect, and celebrate summer together,” said Future Neenah Executive Director Brent Bowman. “We’re incredibly proud of what this series has meant to our community. As we look ahead, we’re excited to reimagine how we bring people together in ways that reflect today’s downtown and help set the stage for the future.”
The decision to reformat the series comes after thoughtful consideration of attendance data, community trends, programming priorities, and evolving downtown dynamics. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work has become more common, reducing the number of downtown employees who traditionally attended midday concerts in Shattuck Park.
While the format is changing, Future Neenah emphasized that its commitment to arts, culture, and community engagement remains stronger than ever.
What’s Changing?
Out to Lunch Continues — In a New Format
The Out to Lunch tradition will continue on a limited basis with one concert each month in Shattuck Park, allowing longtime attendees to continue enjoying lunchtime music downtown.
2026 Out to Lunch Schedule
New Downtown Pop-Up Music Series
Future Neenah will also introduce pop-up musical performances throughout the warmer months, extending beyond the traditional June–August timeframe. Featuring duos and trios in various downtown locations, the new format will showcase local businesses and gathering spaces including Alta Alley and Gateway Park.
Pop-up dates and performers will be announced on Future Neenah’s Facebook page and website.
“With fewer lunch concerts, we’re able to invest in even bigger and better evening entertainment experiences,” Bowman added.
