Tomorrow marks the start of a major conservation project in northeast Wisconsin, as partners break ground on the Brothertown Creek Streambank Restoration Project — a collaborative effort to address erosion and water pollution in the Lake Winnebago watershed.
Led by the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance, in partnership with Calumet County and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the restoration project will stabilize degraded streambanks, reduce sediment runoff, and enhance habitat for fish and wildlife.
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Tuesday, December 9, at 10:30 AM, at Brothertown Harbor in the Town of Brothertown (W5691 Harbor Rd, Chilton, WI 53014).

A Smart Investment in Land and Water
“Brothertown Creek is a key contributor to the Lake Winnebago system, and its health directly affects the farms, homes, and ecosystems that rely on it,” said Jessica Schultz, Executive Director of the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance. “This project is a smart investment in land and water that benefits our entire region.”
