Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Sam Long to project architect and the addition of Shawn Farlow as business developer, strengthening the firm's design and business development teams.
Long has been promoted from senior job captain to project architect after more than seven years in the design and construction industry. In his new role, he will work closely with clients throughout every phase of their projects and be responsible for managing a variety of design-related activities, including planning and programming, design development, and construction administration.
"Over the past several years, Sam has shown tremendous growth in project management and coordination with our internal teams, external consultants, and clients," said Kurt Peeters, Hoffman director of design. "He has played a key role on several important projects and brings strong design insight, a passion for our industry, and a consistent work ethic. Sam has truly earned this role, and we're excited to see him continue to grow.”
Long earned an associate degree in architectural technology from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC). A former Hoffman design intern, he also serves on NWTC's Architectural Technology Program Academic Advisory Committee.
Hoffman also welcomes Shawn Farlow, who will serve as the firm’s new business developer for the local commercial market. A former combat medic in the U.S. Navy, Shawn brings more than 25 years of sales and business development experience to Hoffman, including 16 years developing employer-sponsored health care strategies.
In his role with the firm, Farlow seeks to develop relationships with existing and prospective commercial clients throughout northeast and central Wisconsin, helping organizations identify facility solutions that support their long-term goals.
