Kick off the holidays with Barlow Planetarium’s discounted Black Friday pricing

The final Family Astronomy Night of 2025 is Nov. 29 and features a festive out-of-this-world experience

Winnebago County’s Barlow Planetarium, sharing the wonders of the universe as Wisconsin’s first major planetarium, in partnership with Northeast Wisconsin Stargazers (NEWSTAR), is hosting the final Family Astronomy Night of the year on Saturday, Nov. 29. This out-of-this-world experience features holiday light and laser shows and free telescope viewing that promises to be fun for all ages.

Additionally, families can save $2 off the price of any show admission on Black Friday, Nov. 28, and Nov. 29, including Family Astronomy Night shows. The discount is automatically added upon purchase, so there is no need for a discount code.

"Family Astronomy Night is one of our favorite traditions here because it combines education with genuine wonder," said Teri Gee, Ph.D., planetarium manager at Barlow Planetarium. "There is something truly unique about seeing families gather under the stars, especially during the holiday season when there is already a magical feeling in the air.”

“We are thrilled to partner with the Barlow and inspire a love of stargazing within the Fox Cities,” explained Richard Beal, president of NEWSTAR. “This final telescope viewing of 2025 is extra special because it brings some of the magic of the holiday season, and if it’s a clear night, we should be able to see both the moon and Saturn!”
