OSI Welcomes New Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Todd Schubkegel

Appleton, WI. – The Orthopedic & Sports Institute (OSI) of the Fox Valley is proud to welcome Todd Schubkegel, MD, to our medical staff. He is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in advanced care of the shoulder and elbow. Dr. Schubkegel will support OSI’s continued growth in Northeast Wisconsin, and he will begin seeing patients in January at OSI locations in Appleton and Shawano.

“I am excited to join OSI as I feel they are very well poised to tackle current and upcoming changes to the care delivery environment. From the physical facility to all those working with boots on the ground, I have continued to be impressed,” states Schubkegel.

His areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, arthroscopic shoulder surgery with advanced techniques of rotator cuff repair including tendon transfer and/or augmentation; standard and reverse shoulder replacements—including revision procedures; shoulder and elbow instability reconstruction; comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care; treatment of upper extremity nerve conditions; total elbow replacement and arthroscopic elbow surgery; fracture care; nonoperative arthritis management and joint preservation; and occupational injury management.

A graduate of Rush Medical School, Dr. Schubkegel completed his residency at Loyola University Medical Center, followed by a Shoulder and Elbow Reconstruction Fellowship at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases. He also completed an Observership in complex elbow reconstruction at the University of Western Ontario – Hand and Upper Limb Centre.

He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and an active member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
