Volunteer Fox Cities is proud to announce the appointment of Carolyn Desrosiers as its new Chief Executive Officer. With a deep commitment to community engagement and a strong background in nonprofit leadership, Desrosiers steps into the role at a pivotal time for the organization as it continues to expand its impact across the Fox Valley region.
Volunteer Fox Cities, formerly known as The Volunteer Center of East Central Wisconsin, has been a cornerstone of community service since 1993. The organization connects passion with purpose by empowering nonprofit agencies, fostering corporate partnerships, and mobilizing individuals and groups to make meaningful contributions through volunteerism.
Desrosiers brings a wealth of experience in strategic collaboration, nonprofit advocacy, and volunteer management. Her leadership will guide Volunteer Fox Cities in strengthening its programs, deepening community partnerships, and enhancing volunteer engagement across Calumet, Outagamie, Waupaca, and Winnebago counties.
“We are thrilled to welcome Carolyn to the Volunteer Fox Cities family,” said Lee Wiersma, Board President of Volunteer Fox Cities. “Her vision and dedication to civic engagement align perfectly with our mission to build a stronger, more connected community.”
Most recently Desrosiers served as Director of Community Engagement for the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region. She holds a master’s degree in public administration, and her leadership has been recognized with the Fox Cities Future 15 and Insight Magazine 40 Under 40 awards.
“Volunteering has been an integral part of my life since I was very young — from helping my mom with the scholastic book fair, to volunteering to teach abroad in college, to serving on volunteer Boards of Directors. I am honored to lead Volunteer Fox Cities into its next chapter. ”
Under Desrosiers’ leadership, Volunteer Fox Cities will continue to offer innovative programs such as Corporate Volunteer Partnerships, and the RSVP 55+ Program, which engages volunteers aged 55 and better in flexible, meaningful service opportunities across the region.
