Woodward Community Media is inviting Northeast Wisconsin residents to join together to combat hunger and support local veterans through the Combat Hunger Food and Funds Drive benefiting Wisconsin Veterans Village. Presented by title sponsors Jack's Maintenance Service and WishLane Aesthetics, the community-wide event will take place on Thursday, August 27, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Woodward Community Media, 2800 E. College Avenue in Appleton.
Dorn's Delivery will provide a collection truck that organizers hope to fill with food donations throughout the day, while monetary contributions will also be accepted to support Wisconsin Veterans Village and its mission of serving veterans throughout Northeast Wisconsin.
The event will feature live broadcasts, community updates, interviews, and donation drives across Woodward Community Media stations throughout the day.
